At 8:15 this evening, January 29, 2008,
Flash noticed that the Christmas tree was gone.
It has been put away since the day after Epiphany.
He looked in corners of the living room.

Big fat rolling tears
rolling on the floor, under the coffee table, wailing.
Having a hard time going to bed tonight...very sad.
